Magnetism
For scientists aged 8-12.
In this activity students will learn about the invisible magnetic fields which are the reason behind why magnets attract or repel one another. They will use flakes of iron to visualize the magnetic field of a bar magnet. Then they will use a compass to determine the direction of the magnetic field and draw lines to represent it.
